Why Morningstar?

Universal
Morningstar products are compatible with any MIDI-capable device, regardless of brand or model.
MC MIDI foot controllers can send any type of MIDI message you need. As long as your device accepts MIDI, it will work perfectly with our controllers.
ML loop switchers respond to MIDI from any source. As long as your MIDI controller or software can send the required MIDI messages, they will work well.

Message Types
Every switch on a Morningstar controller is independently programmable. Choose to send any type of MIDI message including PC, CC, Note, SysEx, MIDI Clock, MMC and many more.
To navigate the controller itself, you can also select function messages to bank up/down, jump to specific banks, engage multiple presets and much more.
More information in the full list of Message Types.

Message Stacking
Simultaneously send up to 32 different MIDI messages across 16 MIDI channels with a single switch.
This allows you to control up to 16 different devices with each switch. Switches are also able to trigger each other so you can engage any preset you want from any switch across the different banks.

Action Based Control
Send different groups of messages depending on what action you perform. Assignable actions include Press, Release, Double Tap, Long Press and more.
More information found in the full list of Action Types.

MIDI Clock
Send, receive and relay MIDI clock to keep your time-based effects in sync. You have the option to tap in a tempo on-the-fly or send pre-set BPMs.

How to control non-midi effects?
To control non-MIDI devices with a MIDI controller, you will need a MIDI loop switcher. This will allow you to engage, bypass and even reorder your non-MIDI effects with MIDI. The flagship ML10X also enables you to split and merge audio signals for complex mono and stereo effect routings.
