Why do I need a midi foot controller?
A MIDI foot controller unlocks hands-free control over all your MIDI-capable music equipment. From effect pedals and multi-effects units to racks, amps and music software, you can instantly switch presets and trigger specific functions simultaneously across multiple devices — all with just the tap of your foot.
Why choose Morningstar?
Morningstar MIDI foot controllers allow you to create completely customized workflows. Each switch in every bank can serve whatever function you desire.
Send any combination of MIDI messages from a comprehensive list of Message Types — recall/scroll through presets, toggle effects on/off, tap in tempo, send MIDI Clock BPM and much more.
Take advantage of Action-Based Control, which allows one switch to serve multiple functions — send different MIDI messages depending on whether you Press, Release, Double Tap or Long Press a switch.
Quickly navigate through presets and set lists with the ability to jump from one bank to another.
Editing your controller is fast and easy with the Morningstar Editor, which is available on both desktop and mobile.
Is this compatible with my setup?
Yes. Our MIDI foot controllers work with all MIDI-capable devices regardless of brand or model — pedals, synths, DAWs, amps, and more. You can control devices independently or simultaneously. The choice is yours!
Can a beginner use this?
Absolutely. Even if you are completely new or have limited knowledge about MIDI, Morningstar products make it easy for you to step into the world of MIDI foot control. Here's how:
Simple and powerful Morningstar Editor makes it easy for you to set up your controller just the way you want.

How to control non-midi effects?
To control non-MIDI devices with a MIDI controller, you will need a MIDI loop switcher. This will allow you to engage, bypass and even reorder your non-MIDI effects with MIDI. The flagship ML10X also enables you to split and merge audio signals for complex mono and stereo effect routings.
